| We provide advice, support and management for children, adolescents and parents for:
To help your child, the clinic runs The Boss of the Bladder Program by Rebecca Gilmour. The Program has an original and unique approach for coaching children and adolescents to be dry. The program fosters confidence in children and parents through learning the facts from Dr Janet Hall's books and CDs. Children are coached under the expert guidance of Rebecca Gilmour to proud success and permanent dry beds and pants. The Boss of the Bladder Program is also available for families in rural areas and interstate: we provide phone consultations and online advice for those who cannot access our clinic. For more information on the Boss of the Bladder Program and toileting issues visit our website www.bedwetting.com.au Another frequent and frustrating toileting issue we see at our clinic is children who will only defecate in a nappy and refuse to use the toilet. Often it is because they are scared and fearful, not because they are “stubborn” or “naughty”. Children with fears need compassion, but also strategies and skills to overcome their fears. At Richmond Hill Psychology, we work directly with the parents and child to address toileting issues. A toileting plan is set up to encourage effective toilet use. The parents are given additional strategies for dealing with behavioural issues that can ensue. |
